Skyroot Aerospace has launched India's first privately built orbital launch vehicle, Vikram-1, from Sriharikota. Vikram-1's maiden flight tested its performance by deploying multiple technology-demonstration payloads. The rocket's launch was put on a planned hold by the navigational team five minutes before its scheduled launch at 11:30 am, and was then executed 35 minutes later at 12:05 pm.
