A tsunami warning has been issued for parts of Japan's northeastern coast after a magnitude-7.6 earthquake struck off the coastline on Monday, according to USGS and Japan's meteorological agency. In July this year, tsunami waves had struck parts of Japan, Russia and US after an 8.8-magnitude earthquake had hit Russia's coast.
