7 accused in Kolkata Durga Puja pandal stampede sent to 10-day police custody

A local court on Sunday remanded seven people arrested in connection with the stampede at a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata to 10 days of police custody. Those arrested include members of the organising committee and people in charge of the crowd-control and private security. At least 19 people were killed and 25 were injured in the stampede.
