Seven houseboats were destroyed in a fire that broke out at the Nigeen Lake in Srinagar in the early hours of Monday. The fire broke out on one of the houseboats anchored at the rear side of the Nigeen Club on the lake and quickly spread to adjacent houseboats. There was no loss of life in the incident, officials said.
