Seven natural heritage sites have been added to UNESCO's Tentative List of World Heritage Sites. These include Deccan Traps at Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar (Maharashtra), the Geological Heritage of St. Mary's Island Cluster (Karnataka), Meghalayan Age Caves, and Naga Hill Ophiolite. Erra Matti Dibbalu and Tirumala Hills, both in Andhra Pradesh, and Varkala Cliffs in Kerala are also on the list.
