Lucknow is home to some of the most iconic Kothis or palatial houses built for the Nawabs and their courtiers. Most of the grand Kothis were constructed about 200 years ago. From being designed on the lines of the Greenwich Observatory of England to being used as a hunting residence, every Kothi has a unique story behind it.
