A 700-kg 'Vikramaditya Vedic Clock' has been installed at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and displays time based on the traditional 'vedic panchang'. The clock begins the day at sunrise, instead of the usual midnight, dividing the day into 30 'muhuratas', with sunset occurring around the 15th 'muhurata'. It also provides information on festivals, eclipses, moon phases and constellations.
