Asked on the podcast why around 700 employees threatened to resign after he was fired, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said, "I don't think it's even mostly about me." He credited an "extraordinary collection of people" and a "very healthy culture". He hopes history books will talk about OpenAI rediscovering the culture that makes a great research lab.
