A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck New Zealand's Kermadec Islands on Thursday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The quake was estimated at a depth of 22.1 km (13.7 miles), the USGS added. A tsunami warning has been issued after the quake, the US Tsunami Warning System said.
