72-yr-old gets minimally invasive treatment for aortic aneurysm
A 72-year-old auto-rickshaw driver from Pune with a 5-6 cm abdominal aortic aneurysm was treated at Surya Sahyadri Hospital. Due to his age, diabetes, hypertension and kidney disease, doctors chose minimally invasive EVAR over open surgery. A covered stent graft was inserted through a small groin puncture. He recovered well and was discharged in stable condition.
