The National Capital Region added to it 3 more districts - Mahendragarh(Haryana), Bhiwani(Haryana) and Bharatpur (Rajasthan) on Monday. The expansion brings the number of districts in NCR to 19, with the total area increasing by 34% to 45,887sq km. Haryana is also pushing Jind and Karnal while UP is pushing Mathura-Vrindavan for inclusion into the NCR region.
