Around 750 migrants were rescued by the Italian coast guard in two separate operations off the country's southern coastline on Thursday. The rescue operations come about a month after at least 88 people died in a shipwreck just off Calabria's coastline. More than 10 people are still reported to be missing from the shipwreck that occurred on February 26.
