A 76-year-old man from Mumbai allegedly lost ₹4.8 lakh to a woman who he had befriended online. The accused, who identified herself as a British national, claimed she got his number from a dating website. She made him transfer money after feigning a visit to India and claiming she was apprehended at the airport over some document issue, police said.
