As many as 78 foreign companies were registered in India in 2020-21, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Rao Inderjit Singh informed the Rajya Sabha. During the last fiscal, 23 companies were registered in Maharashtra, the most, followed by Delhi where 15 registrations were made. He added that 320 foreign firms were registered in India between 2018-19 and 2020-21.
