Eight Indian companies in Fortune Global 500 list including Reliance Industries and ONGC spend $81 million/year on Corporate Social Responsibility, according to a report published by the Varkey Foundation in partnership with UNESCO. In comparison, 132 US companies in the Global Fortune 500 spend over $10 billion on CSR, while in UK, 26 companies spend more than $2 billion.
