8 of top 10 firms lose ₹1.55 lakh crore in market value in a week

Eight of India's 10 most valuable companies lost a combined ₹1.55 lakh crore in market value last week, with HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finance accounting for most losses. Reliance Industries, LIC, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Infosys and ICICI Bank also saw their market values decline. Tata Consultancy Services and Larsen & Toubro were the only two companies to record gains.
