The Royal Astronomical Society has reported that astronomers have found eight new super-hot stars, all with surfaces hotter than 1,00,000°C. One of the stars identified is the central star of a newly discovered planetary nebula. "Stars with effective temperatures of 1,00,000°C or higher are incredibly rare. It was a...surprise to find so many of these stars," a researcher said.
