80–90% of sleep apnoea cases go undiagnosed: Experts

Experts estimate 45-50 lakh people in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai may have sleep-disordered breathing, but 80-90% remain undiagnosed. They warn that loud snoring and daytime fatigue should not be ignored, as untreated sleep apnoea can raise the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
