As many as 82 people have died in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand after consuming spurious liquor. The incident happened after most of the victims consumed the liquor, hooch, after a mourning ritual of a relative in Haridwar on Thursday. In the wake of the incident, Uttar Pradesh government has suspended at least 14 officials.
