Aamir Khan has initiated a campaign for collecting funds for the victims of the Uttarakhand floods, kick-starting it with his own donation of 25-lakh. So far, the film industry has collected about 1-crore. Javed Akhtar and Shatrughan Sinha have donated 50-lakh each from their MP funds. Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher have donated 5-lakh and 1-lakh through their foundations respectively.
