The formal setup of 8th Pay Commission is facing further delay as the Department of Personnel and Training extended the deadline for member appointments to July 31. Originally set up for May 21, the date has been extended twice. Expressing displeasure over the delay, central government employees and pensioners have written to PM Narendra Modi, urging quick action.
