8-year-old diagnosed with rare childhood dementia

An 8-year-old American boy has been diagnosed with a rare disease that will lead to childhood dementia. Grayson Naff was detected last year with Batten disease, a fatal condition that causes vision loss, seizures, delayed developmental milestones, and loss of language skills. The condition affects one in 25,000 babies and causes the brain to shut down over 5-10 years.
