An eight-year-old girl allegedly hanged herself at her home in UP's Muzaffarnagar district on Wednesday after her mother refused to take her to a wedding function. According to police, the family had already buried the body by the time they reached the spot. "The girl was upset that her mother took her son to the wedding instead," the police said.
