Eight children and a woman, died, and 78 others were hospitalised after they ate sea turtle meat on Pemba Island in the Zanzibar archipelago, authorities said on Saturday. Authorities in Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania, have urged people to avoid consuming sea turtles. Notably, the woman who died was the mother of one of the children who succumbed earlier.
