Delhi's neighbourhood shops, traders, workshops and service providers may be among the country's most productive urban businesses, but the workforce remains overwhelmingly male, according to NSO's first city-level assessment of India's non-corporate urban economy. Women account for just 13.5% of workers and 16.2% of business owners in such enterprises, the survey showed.
