9-month pregnant woman survives stroke, delivers healthy baby
Doctors at KIMS Seethammadhara successfully treated a nine-month pregnant woman with a life-threatening ischemic stroke using emergency mechanical thrombectomy. The blocked brain artery was reopened with TICI-3 reperfusion while minimising fetal radiation exposure. After stabilisation, she underwent Caesarean delivery and gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
