9 rotis for just 10g protein, India's thali is failing us: Desai

Prashant Desai, a health educator demonstrated live on the podcast that getting just 10g of protein from wheat flour requires eating nine rotis roughly. A typical Indian thali- roti, dal, sabzi, and curd, delivers only 18–24g of protein while packing 1,100–1,300 calories, with less than 10% of those calories coming from protein.
