More than 900 earthquakes have hit a remote island chain in southern Japan in two weeks. Authorities have advised residents to prepare to evacuate if needed, however, there have been no reports of damage and no tsunami warnings have been issued. About 700 people live on seven of the 12 Tokara islands, some of which have no hospitals.
