A record 91 Indian universities feature in the World University Rankings 2024 announced by the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine, up from 75 last year. IISc Bengaluru returned to the global 250 for the first time since 2017. Anna University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Mahatma Gandhi University and other Indian institutes also feature in the rankings. Top IITs boycotted the rankings.
