91-yr old Kandla port will become India's 1st mega port

Kandla port, is expected to double its cargo capacity by 2030, thereby becoming India's 1st mega port with a capacity to handle 267 million tonnes. The Deendayal Port Authority has proposed building a ₹20,000 crore satellite port between Adani's bulk terminal at Tuna-Tekra and Kandla Creek. This would be its second satellite port, currently in the initial proposal stage.
