As per the data by the Urban Development ministry, residents in 22 out of 32-major cities have to deal with water-scarcity problem; for which the professionals hold faulty engineering, poor-maintenance and rising population responsible. The demand and supply gap has scaled upto 70% in Jamshedpur, while it is 30% in other urban-spaces like Kanpur, Dhanbad, Faridabad, Visakhapatnam, Madurai and Hyderabad.
