A premium whisky bottle selling for ₹4,200 may cost just around ₹200 to manufacture, Living Liquidz director Mokksh Sani said on the podcast. He explained that in this case, the government pockets nearly ₹4,000 per bottle in taxes, while retailers earn about 9% and manufacturers only a small fraction of the final price.
