An elderly married couple is among the three people killed in a suspected hantavirus outbreak aboard a Netherlands-based cruise ship, MV Hondius, in the Atlantic Ocean. The virus, typically spread through contact with rodents or their waste, can in rare cases transmit between humans and cause severe respiratory illness. WHO added that at least one case has been laboratory-confirmed.
