A Freudian slip revealed US fears of India's rise, claims Russian envoy

Russia's envoy to India Denis Alipov said that a senior US official had publicly admitted that US would not let India become the next China, a competitor. "It was like a Freudian slip," he said. "So as India becomes stronger and stronger, and eventually a superpower, which is inevitable, US would be doing everything possible to contain India," Alipov added.
