Scientists from the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics, Harvard, the Space Telescope Science Institute, and the University of Toronto collaborated to create detailed 3D maps of the Milky Way. The maps go beyond 4,000 light-years away and provide a comprehensive understanding of our galaxy.
