Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that more players will play Ranji Trophy and a lot less will pullout from the tournament if the match fees is doubled or tripled. Notably, BCCI has recently introduced Test Cricket Incentive Scheme that will serve as additional reward structure on top of existing Test match fee (₹15 lakh).
