A tiny frog species discovered in Eastern India

A new frog was discovered from the canopy-covered streams of Meghalaya. Named Ingerana occidensi, it is noticeably smaller than its northern cousins. The females max out at 26mm only. After careful analysis, its defining traits were analysed: a distinct side stripe, mostly smooth skin, and a stark, clearly visible protruding eardrum.
