Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi has been banned for life on charges of financial irregularities in IPL and barred from holding any position in Indian cricket, the BCCI said after its Special General Meeting in Chennai on Wednesday. Earlier, the Supreme Court had dismissed Modi's plea for stay on the meeting. Modi can, however, challenge the BCCI decision in court.
