US federal government shutdown entered its seventh day leading to the fall of stock markets and still without any end in sight. Lawmakers are reluctant to raise the US debt ceiling(16.7 trillion) after the top Republican in Congress ruled out any measure to boost the nation's borrowing authority. Shutdown has left hundreds of thousands of workers jobless.
