The Finance Ministry on Monday announced that people can link their Aadhaar to their Permanent Account Number (PAN) till August 31, 2017. The government further announced that Income Tax Returns (ITR) will be processed only after the Aadhaar-PAN linking. Earlier in the day, the government had extended the deadline for filing ITRs from July 31 to August 5.
