In order to speed up the application process, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has proposed to rely only on the Aadhar card for identification of the applicant. In case the applicant does not have an Aadhar card, his Aadhar enrolment number should suffice. The process is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
