Aamir Khan has opted against traditional OTT deals for Sitaare Zameen Par, releasing it on YouTube at ₹100 per view in 38 countries. Khan says short OTT windows hurt theatres and believes pay-per-view, backed by UPI adoption and internet reach, can benefit both large and small filmmakers, while expanding cinema's audience in India and abroad.
