Ex-Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured its first-ever Assembly seat in Jammu and Kashmir as Mehraj Malik won the Doda constituency. Malik defeated BJP's Gajay Singh Rana by a margin of 4,538 votes. "This is a big thing...I've received a huge responsibility...This isn't a celebration of our win but the first step," Malik said after the victory.
