Aashima cleared mother's 96% challenge before taking up shooting

Indian shooter Aashima Ahlawat, who won silver in the women's trap team event at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan, scored 98.6% in Class XII after her mother set a 96% target before allowing her to pursue shooting. Hailing from Haryana's Rohtak, her mother said, "She had promised before leaving for Japan that she would return with a medal, and she has fulfilled that promise".
