A pregnant woman sustained burn injuries after Hydrochloric acid was allegedly rubbed on her abdomen during delivery instead of medical jelly at a government hospital in Maharashtra's Bhokardan. Hospital sources say a sanitation worker had mistakenly placed acid used for cleaning on the medical tray. The woman gave birth to a healthy baby despite the serious lapse, an official said.
