ACs, TVs, other electronics to become up to 8% costlier from October: Report

Consumer electronics, including ACs, LED TVs and washing machines, could become up to 8% more expensive from October 1, PTI reported, citing industry leaders. Manufacturers attributed the hike to rising copper, aluminium and steel prices amid the West Asia war, along with higher freight costs. This will mark the industry's third price hike of this year, the report said.
