Action was taken against at least 147 app-based cab operators, of which 36 were found to have charged excessive fares to passengers during heavy rain in Mumbai in the past few days. State Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik ordered officials to take action after several complaints emerged against app-based cab companies for using the crisis to hike their fares.
