Actor Karan Oberoi, who was arrested for alleged rape and extortion, has been granted bail on surety of ₹50,000 by the Bombay High Court. A Mumbai sessions court previously rejected his bail plea, submitted a day after he was sent to judicial custody. His accuser's lawyer was earlier arrested for allegedly 'staging an attack' on the woman to frame Karan.
