Mallika Sukumaran, actress and mother of Malayalam actor Prithviraj was rescued after water entered her residence during the Kerala floods. In pictures that have surfaced online, she can be seen sitting in a vessel and being escorted to safety. Another Malayalam actor Jayaram also reported that his vehicle got stuck in a landslide amid the floods.
