Actor Vikram posts video with endangered ape, TN forest dept traces origin

Tamil Nadu Forest Department launched an investigation after Tamil actor Chiyaan Vikram shared a video with a Lar gibbon at a private residence in Chennai, raising concerns among wildlife activists. Lar gibbon, a tree-dwelling ape native to Southeast Asia, is classified as endangered on IUCN Red List. The origin of the ape in video is reported to be in Malaysia.
